Whimsie Doodles Is Having A DT Call

It's that time again, Whimsie Doodles is having a DT Call. You must make a new project using their image. If you don't have one that's ok. They have some freebies on their website.

For my card I used the Whimsie Doodles image Just Popping In. It is so darn cute. I love ladybugs so I knew this had to be on my card. It is colored with Promarkers. The gorgeous papers are from My Mind's Eye 6x6 - On The Bright Side. All my flowers are handmade and inked with Distress Inks. I will have video tutorials coming very soon. The heart is created with burlap and created with mixed media. A big shout out to Lynne Erskine Forsythe,  the Queen of mixed media who gave me some awesome tips. I used multi medium matte on the back of the heart so that the fibers stay intact. The front is a mixture of gesso, acrylic paint, sprays and a Dylusion stencil. I am very happy with the results. I used ropes from Jolee's Boutique to create stick detail. I used leaves from I Am Roses. And last I used the Curvy Leaves Die from Elizabeth Craft Designs. TFL!

Little Blue Button Stamps - Just Baked

Welcome to the new release for Little Blue Button Stamps.  I am so excited to share with you the image “Just Baked”.  It is colored with Promarkers.  The muffins on the image is partially coated with Perfect Pearls.  See close up below.  The papers are from Pebbles 6x6 paper pad - Front Porch.  I think this is the first time I have used Pebbles papers and I love them.  The paper is thick and makes it awesome for distressing the edges.  All my flowers and butterflies are handmade.  I’ve been in a flower frenzy for a week now.  I have been trying out and testing all kinds of flowers.  I will be having several more flower tutorials coming soon.  They are inked with Distress Inks from Ranger.  The stamens were green so I used acrylic paints to recolor the center.  I will have a video tutorial for this as well.  I used a Die-Namites Die - Leafy Flourish.  TFL!

(FYI for those of you that use Promarkers and use the fine tip attachments you will have noticed that after some time of not using them the tips become clumpy.  Do not throw it away.  Just take a tissue and wipe off the excess clump.  They will work like new again.)

Happy Valentine's Day and a Reminder

Happy Valentine's Day Everyone!
I hope everyone is sharing the day with loved ones.  DH brought me a beautiful arrangement of my favorite flowers! :)  Aren't they gorgeous!!!

Here is my Valentine Card I created for my DH!  I used the paper from Prima 6x6 - Stationer's Desk.  It is a stunning collection of papers.  I embossed the background on plain kraft cardstock and used distressed inks for a splash of color.  My flower is handmade and I will have a tutorial coming soon.  It was super easy and love how it turned out.  The leaves are from I Am Roses.

I want to remind everyone that my Blog Candy is still ongoing and you still have two weeks to follow my blog to have a chance to win some fabulous goodies.  Here is another sneak peak of what is in store.

Now for a random card post.  I had been sitting on this one for many months.  Finally it is completed.  One of my New Years Resolution, finish projects that I started.  For my card I used the wonderful image by Dreamerland Crafts - A Pussy Willow For You.  However, I think this is a dandelion. LOL.  It is colored with Promarkers and her dress and hat are fussy cutting from the 6x6 papers - Carta Bella - Wildflower.  All layered papers are from the same collection.  I sprayed the background with Adirondack Color Wash - Wild Plum.  The foliage is from the local Dollar Store. The handmade flowers were created with the diecut from Die-namics Mini Rolled Roses.  I also used their Leafy Flourish for the detail where the foliage is.  I printed the sentiment and inked the edges with distress inks.  Last but not least I used a white Uni-ball pen to create a stitching effect.  I promised I would have some video tutorials soon.  As soon as I have the stand for the video I will begin to post the tutorials.  So please check back soon.  TFL and see you soon.

Club Scrap - More Projects Using the January Kit

Happy Sunday Everyone!  Today I am showing you more Projects using the Club Scrap January Kit!  The Club Scrap Kits are so versatile to create just about anything and you still have product left for more. For my card I used the plain cut paper which I embossed with the 8.5x11 printed paper.  I used the area where it is shades of grey.  For the flowers I used a diecut and used the colored part to have the flowers stand out.  The stamp and stem bulbs are from my stash.

Here's a close up showing the dies that I used to create my handmade flowers.  You can also cut this out yourself by drawing the lines in a circle or scalloped as the die is and then cutting it out.

For the rest of my projects please visit the Club Scrap Blog.  While you are there also check out what my fellow team members have created with this gorgeous kit.  TFL and see you soon.

Club Scrap Announcement

I am so excited to be presenting the January Deluxe kit. I received a sample Club Scrap kit to play with while trying out for the artist team. I am super excited to announce that I made the team!!!

When I opened the box I was presented with so much goodies. Everything from the paper down to the embellishments is high quality. I am very fussy with my papers and the thickness of the patterned paper and cardstock is strong and durable and able to handle everything. Immediately opening my box I loved the print black 12 x 12 sheet. I knew it was my first paper to play with. It inspired my Celebrate card.

CELEBRATE CARD
The paper speaks for itself and I wanted as much showing on it. The detail on the right is a half design so I cut one of the printed white die cut circles in half and which is in color and completed the circle effect. I used the black ribbon and cut out the teal blue from the stripe ribbon. I used the flat bottle cap embellishment and the paperclip swirl embellishment from the kit to finish off what looks like a banner. I cut out the word Celebrate from the Printed Grey Cutapart Sheet for my sentiment and inked the edges with Distress Inks from Ranger. The card itself is 6x6 folded using the plain cardstock. My personal stash is Imaginisce I-Rock Glam Rocks on the upper detail.

TAG
With my leftover pieces I created a tag. I diecut a birdcage, bird & leaves.

HAPPY CARD
I cut the printed 8 1/2x11 sheet with the color on top. I embossed a blue plain paper. I cutout one of the 12x12 cutapart sheet with the word happy. I layered all the pieces together. The finishing touch was the stripe ribbon.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CARD
I cut the same printed 8 1/2x11 sheet as the Happy Card. I embossed swirls on plain paper to create the flow of the swirls I cut out from the 12x12 cutapart sheet.

TFL! You can check out the Club Scrap Blog for more projects I used with this kit.
