TSB Challenge #6

It's that time again.  This week we have another wonderful sketch from The Stamping Bazaar Blog.  You have until 11:59PM Sunday night EST.  You must link to the actual post with your card and no back linking or you will be disqualified.  We will also be having our second Blog Hop starting Dec.1 for the second wave of Christmas digi images.  The hop will last 5 days.  Be sure to mark your calenders.

Here is this week's sketch.

Here is my card.  I used the Echo Park Merry Christmas Line.  My image is the adorable "Duckling Christmas Morning".  The image is colored using Promarkers.  Yes I still am super happy with them.  I used some Distress Stickles - Rock Candy for a glacier kind of look.  I also used white flower soft for the hat.  Another item I am super happy with.  TFL!

As Promised My First Video Tutorial

Hi everyone.  A few posts back I promised to do a video for the mini prima roses.  It is my first video and it was done with my iphone4.  I am quite happy with the quality however I had to make a platform so I could film without holding the camera.  It is on a slight slant but pretty good quality considering it is my phone.

I hope you like it.  What I didn't mention in the video is that afterwards you can decorate the flowers using stickles, glimmer mist, etc or just leave them plain.  I hope you enjoy and would love your feedback. TFW!!!

Look Who's Having A Design Team Call

Mo's Digital Pencil!!!  I stumbled on these awesome digis when I was blogging.  The only problem I had when ordering is staying within my budget and had to figure out which ones to buy.  That wasn't easy. LOL.

My following card is with the "Fairy Kiki" image which is the one that caught my eye and introduced me to Mo's Digital Pencil.  Isn't she a darling?  I colored her using the Promarkers and for her wings I really wanted them to stand out so I used Crackle Accents.  I just love the effect it created.  The papers are from Basic Grey Curio 6x6.  I inked the edges with Vintage Photo from Distress inks and the cluster of flowers are from Prima.  The brads are also from the Curio collection from BG.  TFL! And good luck to all who apply!!!

Random Cards

Hi all! I just bought some new Promarkers.  I took a chance because I didn't have much success with the copics.  Maybe because they are a fortune to buy and you need at least 2-3 shades of the same family color.  It's a b-day present to myself and guess what???? I LOVE THEM! Oh my...at first try I was in a comfort zone and I am super excited with the results.

Here is a Pollycraft digital image "Sydney with Christmas Present".  She is colored with the promarkers on the whisper white cardstock from Stampin' Up!  The gorgeous papers are from Pink Paislee.  I used my slice to cut out the trees and used the Friskers punch to cut the scalloped edge.  The flowers are from Prima.  My green gems were too light so I colored them using the promarkers.  They won't fade because they are alcohol based.  Flower soft now has White and it's absolutely gorgeous.  There is a little glitter in there so the results are so similar to a shimmery winter summer day.  I recommend this on your winter cards.
This next card is the most adorable stamps from Penny Black "Xmas Snapshots".  I used Memento Tuxedo Black on whisper white cardstock and once again used the Promarkers for coloring.  The papers are from Bo Bunny.  I absolutely love this line.  I used my slice to cut out the tree and then stickled to edges.  The sentiment is from Hero Arts.  TFL!

I am entering my first card to the Pollycraft challenge - A Glittery Christmas
Penny Black Blog - Sketch Challenge

Exciting Digi Sale!

Marina Neira the artist and owner of The Stamping Bazaar just came out with 8 digi stamps in a first wave.  There is a second one coming out with a blog hop.  The first wave is now available at The Stamping Bazaar store and if you buy all 8 you can buy it for $25, you will save $7.  They are all soooooooooo adorable and perfect for those winter/Christmas cards.  But you better act fast because the sale won't be there for long.

DDSB Anything Goes

Happy Thursday everyone!  This week at DDSB it's "Anything Goes"!  Yeah!!! So whip out those stamps and create a card and enter it so you can have a chance to win a Digi Doodle Shop $10 gift certificate.  You do not need to have a Digi Doodle stamp however if you use one you are entered twice!

For my card I used the image "All Dressed Up".  Isn't it just darling?  I colored using the Derwent pencil crayons with mineral spirit.  The papers are from the 6x6 pad Sassafras "Mix and Mend".  They are gorgeous soft papers however I found them hard to use together.  Most of the papers are already layered up and I have a problem with using one paper and then calling it my own. KWIM?  The sentiment is from Hero Arts.  The flowers are hand made and they look exactly like the mini flowers from Prima.  I will be posting a tutorial in a few days so be sure to check it out.  It is super easy and much easier than the 6 petal x 3.  There is no cutting except your flowers.  TFL and don't forget to head over to the DDSB and see what the rest of the amazing team did! :D

Cardabilities Sketch #15

Today is the 15th and it's reveal day at Cardabilities Blog, where you will never lack for inspiration again.  Karan makes the most awesome sketches and this one is no exception.

Gorgeous isn't it?  I couldn't wait to get started.  My card finally got me to bring out my Flower Soft Box that has been collecting dust.  To make those awesome stems and leaves I used the die cut from SU!  Totally worth it.  The vase and flowers are from the Flower Soft starter kit.  The papers are from Kaiser Craft - English Rose collection 6x6 pad.  TFL!  Be sure to check out the Cardabilities Blog to see what the rest of the DT did.

For some reason my Oct.30 reveal never went live.  I had some much going on that I didn't notice.  Here is the reveal for Sketch #14.

TSB 4th Challenge

Good morning everyone! Once again it's Monday and The Stamping Bazaar has another sketch challenge for you! :D  Before I start I would like to say what an honor it has been working with Marina and her new adventure.  I have learned a lot and have enjoyed working with each and every stamp she has created.  I am happy to announce that I will be staying on for another term and I can't wait to see what's in store.  Thank you Marina for everything and I look forward to another 3 months here!

This week's challenge gives you 2 chances to win.  The first winner will receive 2 digis of their choice and 2nd winner will receive one.  You must use a TSB digi to enter so head on over to The Stamping Bazaar store.

Here is the sketch for this week's challenge.  Remember you have until Sunday 11:59PM EST to enter.

For my card I used pencil crayons (this time testing out with crayola) with mineral spirit.  I have to say this is becoming one of my fav ways of coloring right now.  I also can't wait to try out the promarkers which i hope to get this week (It's a birthday request) :D  I used the gorgeous papers from Prima 6x6 pad Jack and Jill.  It's so soft and went perfect with my "Little Angel" digi.  TFL!  Also check out TSB Blog to see what my fellow team members did.  They are just amazing talent!

Color Challenge

How about using Fall Colors?  This week's challenge at Glitterbabe is using the colors Red, Orange & Green.  The winner will receive 2 digi's of their choice from the Glitterbabe Art Store and Stef is throwing in a surprise.  I have no idea what it is but she seems really happy about it.  I can't wait to find out what it is. :D

I decided to be a little different.  Instead of using Fall papers I decided to use the Jovial line from Basic Grey.  I used the very own Glitterbabe image "angel" and decided to color her orange.  Of course since the challenge wouldn't be complete without the glitter as this is a must for any challenge at Glitterbabe I used stickles Champagne color for her hair.  I used the Derwent pencil crayons with Mineral Spirits and a stump.  I will be showing a tutorial soon about it.  Keep your eyes posted.  IRL she is just darling!!!  With Fall I don't get as much opportunities for natural light. GRRR.

Now head on over to Glitterbabe and check out what the rest of the team did and also give a warm hello to our new DT member Tracey! :D

Don't Forget Our Men

This week's challenge at Digi Doodle Shop's Best is cards with a manly theme.  Would you believe I found this challenge very hard.  I realize the majority of my cards are feminine or cutesy.  But who could resist this adorable image from the Digi Doodle Shop - Uncle Jesse.  He made me think of Yosemity Sam from Bugs Bunny and I just knew I had to use him for my card.

For my card I colored Uncle Jesse with Derwent Pencils and mineral oil (baby oil works as well).  The papers are from the Oliver collection from Basic Grey.

Don't forget to link your card at the DDSB blog and remember if you use a DDS image you will be entered twice.  And while you are there check out what the rest of the team and our GDT did this week.  Also please check out the store because there are two specials going on.

Happy Crafting Everyone!

The Stamping Bazaar Now Has Weekly Challenges!!! Whoot!

You heard correctly The Stamping Bazaar now has challenges every Monday which means prizes!!! This is the second week (I missed the first due to personal reasons).  This weeks challenge is using the sketch below.  Please note that you can rotate, flip, stretch, etc.  But the sketch must be recognizable or your card will be disqualified.  YOU MUST ALSO USE A STAMPING BAZAAR STAMP!  You can get it here. This is very important!!!  There will be some different challenges such as themes, colors, etc but for the next few weeks we have sketches.

Here are the prizes up for grabs this week:

First prize consists of two (2) digis of choice from the TSB store.
One honorable mention will receive a prize of one (1) digi of choice from the TSB store.

Here is today's sketch.
I used Louisa The Lioness for my image and you can get it right here along with other images.  Here is my card.  I used Kaiser Craft 6x6 Candy Lane.  I also used my new flowers from I Am Roses.  They are all handmade.  I didn't have to pay duty on this since they are not heavy.  Totally worth looking at as the price and quality is mind boggling!!! I used the watercolor wonders from Stampin' Up!  TFL!

Please check out The Stamping Bazaar to see what the rest of the team did and also you must link your card using inlinkz below the post.  You have until Sunday night 11:59 EST!
