Glitterbabe Challenge 14 - Embossing

Do you love embossing?  Any kind of embossing?  Then I have the perfect challenge for you.  This week at Glitterbabe any kind of embossing goes.  Wet or dry, hand or machine.  This week's challenge is being sponsored by Helen Laurence, owner of Ellephantastic Cards And Crafts Shop!

Helen has generously offered Four images to the winner! Wow 4 awesome images!!!

Here is my card.  I used the snowflake embossing folder with my cuttlebug.  I used the Snow Day papers from Crate Paper.  Love it!!! Just remember you must add some glitter on your project.  I added stickles at the ends of the scarf.  Have fun and remember to link your card here with inlinkz at the bottom of the post.  Be sure to also check out what the rest of the Team did.  You have until Wednesday night to submit your project.

Got Milk?

I bring to you this card that has a little humour.  I used the Marina Neira stamp from The Stamping Bazaar.  I used the Prima Paisley Road papers to create my cookies.  The holes were made from my cropadile.  I had a brown circle underneath to give an impression of chocolate chips.  It's surprising that these papers which are on the feminine side worked with my image.  Once again I used my i-rock from Imaginisce.  Coloring is with the Stampin' Up markers and waterbrush.  TFL!

What Do You Get

When you mix a Marine Neira stamp and Prima?  Sweetness and beauty.  I have been doing a lot of boy cards lately and when The Stamping Bazaar released Susie With Pie and Nancy With Bouquet I was literally jumping up and down in my chair.  DH kind of looked at me and gave me that look that said "You're a strange girl".  I knew these 2 images would need a lot of Prima love!  I wasn't wrong.

Meet Nancy With Bouquet!
Papers used are from Prima (Annalee)
Flowers are Prima and Petaloo
Sentiment are from Hero Arts
Coloring with WaterColor Wonders from Stampin' Up

Now meet Susie With Pie

Papers are Prima (Fancy Flora)
Flowers are Prima and handmade
Leave stems and mini flowers are Prima
Gems are from Imaginisce using the I-rock
Coloring is with Watercolor Wonders from Stampin' Up

Here is the full card

And here is a side view to see that it's a standing card.  My first try at this and I just love it.
TFL!!!
PS There is some exciting news so be sure to come back!!!

Guest DT for Better Living Through Scrapbooking

Better Living Through Scrapbooking is a new challenge blog with awesome challenges and super prizes that can be won if you participate.  The weekly challenges which are posted every Sunday really get you to think outside of the box.  You are required to use at least 2 of the 5 prompts.

This weeks challenge was all about fashion disaster.  I immediately thought of my elementary school days and the clothes our parents dressed us up in.  I had a whole lot of fun going through my pictures.  Then I stumbled on this class photo.  I was in grade 3 and I was one of the tallest girls in class and remembered I was never seated.  I used prompts 1, 2 & 5 for my page.  For more details check out Better Living Through Scrapbooking

Papers and stickers: Basic Grey “Sugar Rush”; Transparencies: Basic Grey; Alphas: American Crafts Thickers, Cosmo Cricket, My Little Shoebox; Buttons: Stampin’ Up & Basic Grey.

Here is my fashion disaster titled "Quick Call The Fashion Police!" TFL!

Basic Grey Challenge and DT Openings

The challenge over at Basic Grey Challenge is paper piecing.  Instead of coloring your stamp with pencils, markers and watercolors you use a patterned paper.  You stamp the image on patterned paper and cut it out.  I completely colored my stamp with paper piecing.  As well as having this awesome challenge there is a DT call.  If you love Basic Grey this is for me.  Many people know I just LOVE Basic Grey and have since I started scrapbooking in 2008.  Oh I almost forgot there is a $25 gift voucher for Simon Says Stamp for the winner!!!

My card is done with only Basic Grey papers.  The lovely Olivia line and the adorable stamp is Anya from The Greeting Farm.  I used the Cherry Blossom Branches from Prima and the gems are attached using my i-rock from Imaginisce.  TFL!

I used the Mini Deck from Cosmo Cricket - Material Girl! HEHE perfect for my fashion card.  Prima flowers and gems.  The swirl is a mix of alcohol inks and Paint Dabber from Ranger.  The coloring is with Stampin' Up markers and a watercolor brush.  TFL!

Amelia & My Mind's Eye So Sophie

Once again I have a few contests to enter.  If anyone knows how to keep up with all the contests out there please tell me.  Keeping an agenda is a start but you have to constantly update it.  It's harder than it sounds.

Ok this lovely stamp is from The Greeting Farm.  It will be entered for their friday contest for Rules of 3.  This was quite a challenge as usually I just keep adding until I am satisfied..  I am also entering for the weekly sketches at Friday Sketchers.

I used Stampin' Up Markers with blender to color Amelia.  The gorgeous papers are My Mind's Eye So Sophie.  Their paper is just amazing for distressing.  Jazzed it up with some gems and my i-rock from Imaginisce.  TFL!

I used Stampin' UP markers with a blender to color him. The pattern papers are from Fancy Pants.  I made the candies using my Slice with the Spellbound cartridge.  I used a fine pen to add some lines.

Meet Marvin Trick or Treat!

Magnolia & Mists

I think I will start buying ribbons and embellishments in ivory or white.  Lately I have been using mists so that I can have the right color.  I have also been making my own using just a pinch of perfect pearls, one stopper of distress ink refills and water.  The mixture is endless and I just love the colors I am creating.

For the most part I colored the Magnolia stamp "Tilda Picking Lilacs" with derwitt color pencils however I wasn't happy with the dress so I went over with a Stampin' Up marker.  The beautiful background paper is Prima and flowers are Prima.  I used stickles on the flowers and on the stamp flowers.  Sorry but the pearls are unknown as it was in my stash.
TFL! :D
